When I started with drupal I installed number of modules which can be helpful in achieving a particular task.
I am just listing down the top most important modules which are required for a full fledged website development using CMS- Drupal-
There are no download links provided for some of the modules but they can be easily searched and downloaded through Drupal website– http://drupal.org/project/Modules
- Views- For customized pages which in turn uses SQL queries
- CCK- Add custom fields to Drupal
- Additional field modules for CCK– Email field, link field, computed field(php code), date field.
- Domain Access- For running multiple domains to point to a single Drupal installation supporting multilingual content
- Content Access- Managing user control, access, permission on Content Type, Nodes etc. http://drupal.org/project/content_access
- Access Control List (ACL)– Only used by other modules like Image Gallery, Content Access etc. http://drupal.org/project/acl
- Nodeaccess Module- this module allows you to do things like ‘node 123 can be viewed by authenticated users and edited by admin users and joeuser’. As an added bonus, update and delete permissions are separated, so you can make sure users with edit permissions cannot accidentally delete pages http://drupal.org/project/nodeaccess.
- i18n- Support for Multilingual content
- Translation Management- Manage multilingual content using translation process like having separate Authors for different languages
- Admin Menu- Display Drupal Administration menu as a drop down menu for easy navigation
- FCKeditor– For easy content/node editing
- Captcha- To stop spamming
- Content Profile- To manage site users/members profiles
- FileField– Used in CCK
- imageField– Used in CCK
- pathAuto– User friendly URL’s
- Token- Get module values, internal drupal values and use them in other Drupal modules
- Ubercart– Top Ecommerce module
- Webform– Creating multiple website forms
- Collection
- Location– The Location module allows real-world geographic locations to be associated with Drupal nodes, including people, places, and other content, http://drupal.org/project/location
- ConTemplate– Theming, modification of content types, exclusively for custom content types using CCK
- Jquery ui module– required by Date Module
- jquery.ui-1.6.zip– Required by Jquery UI Module, Please read “ReadMe.txt” in Jquery_ui module order to enable this module http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui/downloads/list?q=1.6

- Simplenews– Simplenews publishes and sends newsletters to lists of subscribers. Both anonymous and authenticated users can opt-in to different mailing lists http://drupal.org/project/simplenews
